Love Lost in the Woods

I hear you….

You call my name.

Sometimes I think I see you, maybe your shadow… but then it’s gone just as soon as it appears.

I wish I could feel you…

I want to know your warmth…

Your smells…

Your sounds…

These woods are thick with nature.

The trees go on and on, for what seems like, forever.

I miss you, yet we have never met…

How I have longed for you, my love, lost in these woods of a million trees.

Though, I have survived and grown, preparing to be with or without you, amongst these trees that have protected me for so long.

When it’s late and dark, and I can’t seem to fall asleep, I try to imagine who you are.

How you look.

How you talk and move.

What you might wear.

Oh these woods…

These woods could surely tell you about me…

How I hunt, and survive.

How I heal and grow.

What I find for shelter, and how I talk to nature.

These woods could sing to you, from my heart.

They are the very soul of me.

These woods, they have healed me.

When I find you, you will see, we will feel lost in the middle of these deep woods, but never really be, for we will have each other.

When I find you, my love, we will finally be free.
