I think the “Point of View” gun was so fascinating. I rented the movie and watched it on Friday neither and the way that it makes people say their points of views without fear, or regard to anyone’s feelings was so funny. It makes me think of my son, who is always trying to teach me that I should not worry so much about other peoples feelings because they do not effect me, but i swear they do!

I also liked the thing that was created, The Infinite Improbability Drive. That was such a intricate and interesting creation. I really love all the details to creativity in this book.

When trying to play the game, I kept getting “You sound rather positive”. Maybe I am not sure how to play it. I will try again when I am not so tired.

Bauhaus is a movement that started in Germany. It is a style of design that consists of simple lines, stark white colors and simple and minimalist features. There was a lot of trouble when it first came about, in 1919. It seems there was a lot of push against it. The architecture is still used to this day.

The country I chose is Sweden. The nature there inspires me and I have daydreamed about getting a little cabin in the woods, in a small town in northern Sweden.

In regards to H2G2, it has been a really enjoyable read. Going back to the “Where is your Towel”, the terms and meaning of a towel and all the uses, along with the perception the book states of a person with a towel is quite hilarious. Whatever the author was thinking, it must have been a really entertaining thing to write. I can only imagine them sitting in a long fit of laughter, as some of those things are just ridiculously funny.

It was really cute how Ford had Author drink 3 pints of beer, and was preparing him to leave the Earth. I appreciated that he cared about him, and on such a day as that, when Author’s house happened to be planned for demolition. It was curious, though, how the Earth was also planned for demolition of the same day.

There was some interesting similarities with how Hyperland related to H2G2 in certain ways, as to tech. I was surprised as to the immense amount of things they had been working on when I was in grade school (80’s kid), that is now a normal everyday thing, like Virtual Reality. Although, I have not used any VR tools, I do see Second Life and many video games, as well as some social media apps, using this sort of technology. It is incredible, the vast advances in technology’s that have happened, all by individual thought’s and ideas that they chose to believe in and look at where it has taken us!

Humans are amazing. I believe we can find a happy balance with the tech worlds and nature, and find a happy medium of balance, while giving our future goals a chance to soar, along with finding a way to create a healthier and happier planet. There is just no telling what the future might bring. I believe it could be very exciting, full of possibilities!

I believe that colors are strong ways of communication, and can evoke emotions as well. For me, there are many colors in nature that I feel instantly calm from. Then there are certain colors that also create sadness, fear, or bring back trauma memories or feelings.

In the design world, colors are meant to help with all of that and more. The right colors can evoke excitement, creativity, and also joy. If you can do your research and find a way to bring out what you are seeking the customers or public to feel the looking at your work, you can really click in the design world.

When reading H2G2, I remember seeing GPP, and it having to do with a robot having a genuine personality, like a real person. I think if I were to see a robot that was  blue, this might represent a sad robot. Or a yellow one would be happy. I know there are so many different meaning for colors, though. It is sad that the one robot in H2G2 is so depressed all the time. I don’t recall hearing what (or reading) color he is.

Week 3

For this assignment we were learning about using layers and how they are necessary and useful for creating images. Each food item, even the plate, are all different layers. We also learned about some filters and how to adjust Hue/Saturation on individual layers. There is so much more to learn, but with each assignment I feel more pleased with my ability to grow and learn, even if I need some extra help along the way. Learning is a process, and it takes time and patience with yourself and others.
