Week 1 – Sky Images

Week 2 – White Balance

The first 6 images are the white balance options on my camera; auto, incandescent, fluorescent, direct sunlight, cloudy and shade. Then the 7th one has some post-processing done from in photoshop; light adjustments, as well as a dark preset filter. It was also cropped. Images can really take on different looks with slight adjustments to color and adding different layers of filters, it is pretty wild.
Week 3 – Photographer Inspiration – Annie Leibovitz
Annie Leibovitz was born on October 2nd, 1949. She is still alive. She mostly does portrait photography.
Her images are known for the depth and creativity. She really thinks outside of the box, which is why I love her work so much!
She mostly uses a Mamiya RZ67 and Hasselblad to 35mm Canon and different Nikon models. Lenses; She often uses prime lenses, like the 50mm, 85mm, and 105mm focal lengths are what she tends to favor.
Annie is best known for her moodiness in her photos. She really likes to go in deep with emotions to create depth and context in her works. She is an iconic photographer and has done incredible works with her celebrity photos. When you see her work it pull at your soul.
Everything she does is multi-layered, from the lighting sources to the textures, to the emotions. There is quite an intricate dance she does within each phenomenal image. It is really incredible.
The light sources she uses vary. She uses studio and natural light, giving a nice array of variations of color mediums. You will not find her work to be set around any one subject or style. She really captures life in such a unique and beautiful way.
