Creating these Previs boards was really neat and gave me an idea of what was to come for the creations I had to look forward to.


Since I already had to make stone and wood textures, I made those before I had to make the prototypes.





The tablet was really simple that there was no prototype needed, and Rachel helped me with it so she zoomed through it. I had intended to go back to create it on my own, but ran out of time. For the box, I made a couple of different shapes before figuring out which would be best.

The stone tablet and the box were really inspired by my love of natural textures and simple nostalgic things with timeless meaning. Being a writer, the tablet made me feel like I could help get positive words of encouragement to others, while the wooden box would be a way for people to collect more nostalgic or meaningful charms or treasures. Creating these objects was very meaningful to me, in the way that it feels like part of my soul is now in Second Life, for others to capture and enjoy. I really appreciated that I had a great tutor (and friend), Rachel Wolfe, who was able to create these objects for me.


I had imagined that these objects would be in the storytelling circle. The box, especially, for people to find and be able to keep a copy for themselves, to keep their achievement awards in. Then it was my hope that people could share about their achievements and the challenges they overcame on their journey. The tablet was also, in my mind, going to be a good object to have multiple copies of, along the trail to the storytelling circle, as well as in other places. I had imagined that each one would have a different inspirational word or saying that could encourage those who found them, to keep pushing forward on their journey.
