Grow

Process through the pain.

Feel each new growth as it changes you and your surroundings.

It is not going to be without discomfort.

You are growing, learning, and are yearning to become who you were meant to be.

Looking back, looking forward, staying present, it’s all okay.

Regret, forgiveness, understanding that each experience was for a reason.

For growth.

This process is not easy.

Forgiveness heals.

Forgiving others helps you also forgive yourself.

Letting go of attachments to feelings or emotions, pains or expectations, allows you to find peace.

Allowing peace helps you achieve more understanding of this life and the process of it all.

Don’t hold onto anger, judgement or fear.

Let go.

Release.

Be free of it so you can have peace.

You are worthy of peace.

You are allowed to feel good.

You will keep growing, no matter what.

It might not always feel good, but it will be okay.

You are safe.

You are loved.

You are healing.

Searching

For so long, I had hoped to find someone…

Someone to lean on,

Someone to talk to,

Someone to love…

For so long I thought that would be the answer, to get out of these storms, out of the depths of this open water.

Finally I learned…

It was never going to be someone…

It was never going to be a person…

It was just always going to be me…

For so long I had felt lost…

For so long, I thought I needed to be found…

Finally, I found myself.

Yet, I still linger, in this deep ocean, but no longer searching.

No longer lost.

No longer waiting fo someone to rescue me.

No longer waiting for someone to love me or to laugh with me.

I can laugh with myself.

I can love myself.

I am found.

I found me.

Better on my Own

I took a little walk on my own for a while.

When I turned around to get back to you, you were already gone.

You held my heart for me.

I didn’t know you’d be gone when I realized why you held it so tightly.

You had my heart long ago.

Now it’s gone, with you, not sure if or when I’ll ever see either of you again.

Until then, I’ll go on, and I’ll seek out no one, for all I need is me.

I’ve learned that, now I can see I can grow a new heart.

I’ll be fine, I am good, better off, now that you’re gone.

Discover

If we wander, may it be for the chance to grow.

If we get lost, may it be for the chance to discover.

If we fall, may it be for the chance to pick ourselves back up.

You are Safe

I see you,

Hurting and not telling anyone.

I see you,

Falling and falling, struggling to pull yourself back up.

I see you.

It’s okay.

It’s all going to be okay.

You are safe.

Pressure

Do you ever feel like you are being squished by all the pressures of this natural world?

Life.

Circumstances.

Insecurities.

Uncertainties.

Expectations.

Obligations.

So much weight, so many things pushing on you, sometimes it feels like its coming from all sides.

One day you feel good and fine, then the next day you feel this overwhelming sense of sadness.

Overwhelming pressure.

A deep longing to let go, but you don’t quite know how.

You feel a loss of the ability to hold it all together, and you just want to let go and let it all crumble and fall away.

But you don’t.

You feel the emotions, and understand the pressure and remember what you are doing it for.

You remember who you are here to support and teach.

You look around and see how far you’ve come.

You see all of those who are doing their best to encourage you, because they believe in you.

You remember where you want to go.

Still, the tears flow.

The emotions sit, like a deep weight, a heavy rock in your gut.

You don’t know when you will get to where you want to be.

You feel stuck.

You feel lost.

Growth is full of pain.

Healing hurts.

Life is full of pressure.

Life is full of pain.

Don’t let it hold you down.

Don’t let it take control.

Expectations, interpretations of experiences, so many obligations…

People, places, finances, politics…

So many things taking over your mind and flooding into your peaceful space.

They are not as important as your mental health and well-being.

You are important.

Remember why you are here and see that pressure as nothing more than an interpretation of expectations that are not requirements.

The only thing that is required is that you are okay.

If you don’t feel okay for a little while, or even for a day or so, its okay.

It will pass.

This is temporary.

You are an eternal being, you are a beautiful soul, full of endless possibilities and gifts to explore, in this natural world.

Stand up, shake it off, dance a little and smile.

You are still here to fulfill your destiny.

You are still here to shine your beautiful light.

Your strength will continue to grow and you will continue to heal.

Enjoy your journey.

Not every day will be easy.

Not every road will feel like the right one.

Sometimes you’ll feel alone and sad, and confused, but that is okay.

You will continue to get through each new pain.

You will see rain, rainbows, sunrises, sunsets, and many, many storms in between.

Feel it all.

Experience it all.

All of it is necessary.

You will grow to appreciate each experience, for they are each important.

Pressure comes from expections.

There are no expectations worthy of losing your peace over.

Let go and let it flow.

Be still.

Run fast.

Whatever you need to do.

Most of all, give thanks for this life.

Gratitude heals and the more you give thanks, the more you see how much there is to be grateful for.

Remember that you are a gift.

Thank you for being here and for choosing to stay and continue on your journey.

May you always find your way back to your center.

Let go, and find your peaceful place.

You are worthwhile.

Promises to Myself

I promise to always be my best friend, for too long I have been my worst enemy.

I promise to stop thinking of myself as not enough, or too much, I am enough.

I promise to always allow laughter and joy, for a life lived too seriously is not an enjoyable life.

From now until my last breath, I promise to always share kindness instead of gossip.

If I ever forget any of these, may I quickly remember them, because without these promises, life just isn’t quite as good.

Strength on the Horizon

You may not always feel it, but you are stronger than you think.

Look at where you are today, it wasn’t always easy, it wasn’t always a piece of cake.

You have fought through many battles, and you have stood your ground.

Look at where you are today, you are stronger than you think.

Yesterday, you may have been full of more motivation, but now here you are, you have gained more momentum, and now you have more power and distance, as those past battles are moving further and further away.

Look at where you have been before, lost and fighting, forever wondering what would come from all the war.

You are here now, a fighter, a warrior, you are stronger than you think.

Look at the clock, it ticks without looking back, unknowing of anything except each tick forward, but you can look back, and you can look to the horizon, if you need more hope, for there is always more strength to come, on the horizon.

You have come this far, you have made it here, let it all be and let that worry go.

You are stronger than you think.

-M.

Don’t Stay

Don’t stay.

You can survive on your own.

You don’t need him.

You are capable without her.

If he puts you down, walk away.

If she hurts you again, shut that door.

Walk away.

Don’t stay.

Get out of town.

Do whatever you need to do, to be okay.

Do it for him.

Do it for her.

Most of all, do it for you.

Don’t stay.

Saying “No”

How is your life going?

Are you happy?

Content?

Could your life use some improvements?

Do you ever find yourself forgetting about yourself and your needs?

Do you need to learn how to say, “no”, more often rather than agreeing to things that are not exactly right for you?

Have you been going through this life on auto pilot, saying, “yes”, because you think its the right thing to do, to make other people happy?

Then its time to learn a new word.

No.

No to things that aren’t right for you…

No to thoughts that aren’t helping you…

No to people or experiences that aren’t right for you…

Learn how to pay attention to how you feel in different situations, or around certain people and with different thoughts.

Do some situations or people drain you or make you feel overwhelmed?

Do you notice physical or emotional changes in yourself around different people, situations or with certain thoughts?

Do you find particular thought patterns becoming overwhelming, or are they weighing you down?

Take a step back and think about why you allow so much into your life that is not good for you.

Once you start doing this, more often, and start saying, “no”, to what is not right for you, you start to learn how to value yourself and your needs, which helps you be able to show up better for your life and for yourself.

This creates more balance in your life.

Doing this allows you to be better for those in your life, who are good for your life, as well.

It also allows you to be better contributor to those around you who are beneficial parts of your life.

You can choose your thoughts.

Thoughts are energy, and what you give more energy to grows, just like watering a plant.

Once you finally become tired of being unhappy, start looking for the root causes of your unhappiness.

You can see trails, like a stream, connecting to certain things that are causing you to feel less than good.

You become tired of constantly being upset with yourself for allowing thoughts and experiences into your life that are harming you, or taking you away from being who you prefer to be, or redirecting you away from where you actually want to go.

Look back over your life.

How many times have you said, “yes”, or, “sure”, when you should have said, “no thanks”, or “absolutely not”?

Has it been a problem, for you, to try to make others happy while neglecting your own feelings or needs?

Have you been ignoring your own needs, and devaluing yourself, while also forgetting what it is that you actually want out of this life?

Yeah, that is tough to acknowledge, isn’t it?

It’s okay, now you are aware of it and now you can do something about it.

Look at yourself.

Who are you?

What are you passionate about?

What makes you feel your best?

What do you do to fill your cup?

Oh, is that not something you do very often?

Do you ever do anything for yourself?

Well, its time to start.

You are the leader in your life.

You matter.

You are important.

Start practicing saying, “no”, and you will see a big shift in yourself, your self-confidence and in how you view yourself and your life.

You will stop taking yourself and your time for granted.

You will see your life start to change in ways that will make you wonder what else you can say, “no”, to.

You will value your healthy friendships more, and you will have less of what you don’t want around.

You will see that your needs matter, and it will show you exactly why.

Take your life back.

You deserve it.

Now start saying, “no”, as often as possible to get comfortable with it.

It might take some getting used to, if you are a people pleaser, who has lived a life of being who you thought you needed to be for everyone except for yourself.

Time to change.

I believe in you, and you should, too.

No, I have nothing else to share, time for me to go fill my cup.

See how easy that was?

Your turn.
