Carpet Piles

So many things left unsaid.

So many troubles lost without an end.

Blank stares after fights.

Lost words, from not enough strength to finish a line.

Builds up over time…

Trying to walk through that dining room with carpets full of piles…

Piles of words swept under the carpet.

Angry arguments left unfinished, just to build up over time, taking up space, draining energy and making you feel out of place.

Carpet piles…

Lost words that were left unsaid…

Feelings that get lost in your head…

Unfinished business, fights stopped short…

Never listening…

Never hearing…

It’s all so draining…

Tears so scattered like the sprayed spit from the nasty words that were yelled.

Stopping before anyone got hurt, but holding on still, enough to keep the pain inside still.

Swept under the carpet, to pull out again in time…

Never really feeling healed.

Always going on like nothing bad was ever said.

Why…

How can things ever heal in time, when they aren’t allowed to be spoken about…

Stop the avoidance.

Make a change, to make a difference.

Emotions are felt and need to be known.

Respect can be given, love can be shown.

Stop the carpet piles.

Acknowledge the hurt.

Understand the pain.

Stop the avoidance and make communication a positive thing.

Rough Waters

Everything will be easy.

It will all go smoothly.

There will be no storms or rough waters.

Life will bring us so much goodness.

It will be everything we want it to be.

There will be no struggle.

There will be no pain.

Life is simple.

It is not complicated.

It is not complex.

Oh, life…

You had us fooled.

We had left home, at the ripe age of teenagers and had all the hopes and dreams of it all being so simple…

So easy…

Preoccupied with looks and friends and becoming wealthy, we thought that would be all we would need.

We though status was the answer.

We thought clothing and things would be our level up.

Life showed us that it is much more than that.

Life showed us the rough waters of being so surface focused, would surely make us drown.

What is on the outside does not make up for what is unfound on the inside.

The deepest sea has the coolest waters, and the more turbulent storms to face.

As with us, we have much depth, though not all of it was quite known or understood.

We thought we knew ourselves, within.

Our depths go much deeper than we knew before.

Now we see, a life with purpose for more than just material things…

A life of passion…

A life without greed or so many possessions…

This is the life we now seek.

We try to see the depths of others, while even just passing by.

A depth is beyond just a wave and a smile, for it goes deep, like the deepest of seas.

Love and care, and genuine concern.

Peace, kindness, a desire for more than just what one can take to the bank, this is what will keep us swimming, without tidal waves of the surface trying to pull us in.

When we leave this world, we hope to leave a mark.

Not one that can be seen or touched, but one that can be felt, like a feeling that calms the deepest sea.

A feeling that gives you a sense of understanding that all will be okay, even when no-one else is around.

Whether or not we have ever met, we hope it soars like a seagull though the winds, to each soul that is left on earth.

When all possessions are gone and the world is silent, we hope a feeling of peace is felt.

Maybe not from us, but maybe from the storms that pass and all that can be remembered is that feeling of goodness, that feeling of purpose.

Rough waters can always be beautiful to watch, as they roar and splash, they bring an electricity of their own.

Knowing each storm will pass, knowing we need nothing except for who we are, that is the peace that we will carry with us, if nothing else, that will be enough.

Hold this with you, carry it like a sack on a stick, for it is all you need to hold onto.

Life will bring storms.

Life will bring rough waters.

Even so, you will have purpose.

You will have peace.

Everything is there for you, it is all within.

Ghostly Presence

You hid from me, in your darkness, avoiding the light like it was a plague to end all life.

There was a ghostly presence about you, one that you didn’t understand.

You were a ghost of the night, but you had a kindness in your eyes.

Yet, you only saw your darkness so you feared your fate would be the same.

You came to me for answers.

You came to me for help.

You came to me, calling out, with cries, for you had nowhere else to go.

No-one else could see you, like I could.

Though, I feared you and your darkness, I saw there was a light, within.

There was a light in which you existed, if only for a moment, here and there, it was what helped keep you here.

A darkness like yours could swallow one up.

It could take one down to the deepest oceans, leaving no trace of your existence having ever been.

You have a goodness within you, but to let it grow will take some time.

You will have much work to do, for this darkness is hard to remove.

The fog around you is heavy, as we walk along the beach.

The waves break and reach my feet.

They cannot reach yours, even though you are with me, you are a bit ghostly, an existence that is hovering between worlds.

How did you get this way?

Life must have really been tough on you, to be here, yet not, and without much hope to be found within.

There is hope…

You might not see it, but it is there, and it is waiting for you to see it, too.

I will walk with you.

We can talk.

I will show you your light.

And hopefully, in time, you can see there is more to this life than the darkness, as we make our way down this beach of darkened sand.

You are the Light

They think they know what is best for you.

They want you to dim your light

Don’t they know that even clouds try to put out the sun’s bright light, but it still shines bright?

You are light.

You are strength.

With the strength is how you shine so bright.

You don’t have to try.

You don’t have to understand why.

You are what you are.

They see it.

They feel it.

They can’t seem to accept it.

You are light.

You shine so bright, and help others see their own light.

Keep on shining.

You are the reason why.

You are the light.

The Flow

As it flows,

Life begins to find a rhythm.

Just as time passes,

Life breezes by.

There are short spurts in which we exist,

Never really seeing it all put together until a while later.

Time is precious.

Life is, too.

As time flows,

Life begins to make sense.

How do You Treat People?

The way we treat others has a big impact on them, as well as showing our truth, or who we are.

Are you short with the wait-staff or with the cashier?

Do you get angry with people on the road, and blame the traffic on them?

Do you see the connection between us all and try to treat others with patience and kindness?

Have you been struggling to see others, especially strangers as regular people who also matter?

Watching so many people disregard others, just because of their life position or their job, or even because they are strangers that they think they will never see again has been devastating to see over the years.

Don’t you know that how you treat others matters?

You have the opportunity, in every experience with others, to share light or to share darkness.

How do you like to feel?

Do you think others want to get treated poorly because you don’t think about the fact that each person has feelings and has a purpose?

We all matter.

That person driving slow on the freeway may have anxiety.

That cashier might be on their 6th day in a row, working overtime because nobody wants to work.

That waitress or waiter may have been dealing with many other grumbling restaurant guests because staff is short and the kitchen is backed up.

These are people who live in this world with us.

We are all struggling, in different ways.

When you bring light, you bring peace.

When you bring darkness, you bring misery.

Don’t you think we have enough misery in this small world?

There are so many ways to help bring more light…

So many ways to help lift others up, so that they can go on with more joy and gratitude in their life.

You are capable of bringing light, if you choose to do so.

Let’s lift one another up and see that we are all important and necessary.

I see you struggling, and I see you knowing that you could be a bit better than how you have been.

We can grow and learn, so we can help bring more light into this darkened world.

Let us find more peace and joy and spread it with each interaction of our days.

In the darkness, we must always bring the light.

You Choose how You Feel

Perspective

What is Love

We seek out love, from the beginning of our entrance into this earthly life experience.

But what is love, really?

Why do we seek it out?

Why do we allow so much pain and trauma to come, and accept poor treatment, in our search for love?

There are different types of love, also, which we can get all mashed up, and we can expect a lot from others, in our seeking of love.

We tend to seek love from others to solve our problems.

We think being in love and in a relationship will fix our world (not the whole world, just our world, the one only we exists in).

So we bring someone in, hoping they will be the answer.

Hoping they will validate us, cure us, save us, but what we really need is our own love.

We seek love for protection.

Love seems to be the answer for our need for safety.

We seek it for acceptance.

We think that this love will mean we will be accepted as we are and for who we are.

This is true, but not everyone is able to accept us, nor are we always able to fully accept ourselves.

We hope that love will fulfill us and help us feel whole.

This is a false idealization of love, given to us through the media and through others who also have the false belief of this.

Love cannot make us whole, only if it is love from ourselves to ourselves.

That self-love, self-validation is pretty important and it is way more necessary than we are shown through our life experiences.

We think that love will solve all of our problems.

Well, love can solve many problems, but only the right kind of love can help with this, most specifically, self-love.

Romantic love is not going to solve many problems for us, though.

It can actually cause more harm than good, if one of the involved parties is not in a healthy place of being able to be a receptor of this type of relationship, or of one is seeking more, or has the hopes it will turn into something more permanent and fulfilling than just romance.

Loving others, seeing their truth, accepting them, being kind, loving yourself, being kind to yourself, treating others the way you would like to be treated, treating yourself as you would like others to treat you, finding ways to validate yourself, creating your own sense of safety and protection… this is the gift that love brings.

It creates a space for peace and an opening for learning how to find it, by creating it and allowing it.

We can seek love, we can give love…

Romantic love will not solve as many problems as platonic or self-love.

Self-love and self-realization is the real key to solving our problems and understanding how to exist in this world, the one where we are alone in and the one that we all share.

Find yourself and find your key to your questions of validation.

Find yourself and understand you are the one you have been seeking.

Look within and find the love you have been seeking from others.

You are a magnificent being.

You deserve love.

You deserve peace.

You deserve acceptance.

You deserve safety, protection and most of all, you deserve love.

Not just any love, a healthy love for yourself.

One that will last for your entire earthly experience and beyond.

Sending you love and good intentions for your journey.

Love you all and wish you well on this beautiful experience.
