I let you buy me roses.
You let me buy you things.
I never watered the roses.
You never took care of the things.
You wanted to come back over.
I didn’t want you to.
You tossed the things all over.
The roses got scattered with the things.
Now our love is over,
But maybe it was just another one of those flings.

I’ve loved so many
But I didn’t love me
Neither did they,
Though they did say,
They didn’t show me,
So they drifted away.
I choose me,
For so long I have chosen everyone else.
So many men,
Even a women,
Just so many,
I’d rather not say.
It’s time to be here for me.
It’s time to focus on loving me.
I choose me and that’s okay.
You may see me and want to change me,
But I am fully taken,
I am taken by me.
