Process through the pain.

The Road to Somewhere

As much as I dream of leaving, I also dream of staying.

Isn’t it so confusing? That push-pull feeling?

Should I stay or should I go…

Every time I think of leaving, I remember how much I feel at home.

Then every time I think of staying, I think about how much I want to go explore.

Show me the world from a window.

Let me see through that looking glass.

Take me for a spin around the globe and then let me come back home and have a weekend in.

Let’s take a chance on a lotto ticket.

Let’s spin a wheel or two.

Maybe we can buy a plane ticket and not know where to.

I have a wild side that needs to go see all the places.

I also have a homebody side that likes to order in and listen to the silence as it dances through the air.

I’m not looking for lovers or one night stands.

Just looking for best friends, adventures, new back roads and cities.

I’m only looking for new scenery.

A new direction.

A new way home.

A new place to get lost in the woods.

A new beach to see the sun rise then fall.

Let’s take a chance and make all right turns.

Then we can laugh while taking all left turns, calling them wrong turns, while we drive back home.
